Humanist Celebrant

Naming ceremonies
Naming ceremonies are such a lovely way to celebrate identity, family, and life’s big moments.
We had a wonderful naming ceremony that Kim led for us. It was the perfect length and right blend of personalised pieces whilst discussing humanism also. Kim took the time to get to know our children and that showed.
It was a perfect day.
While they’re often chosen as a non-religious alternative to a christening, they can be created for anyone, at any age, and for all sorts of reasons.
Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, celebrating an adoption or blended family, supporting someone through their transition, or marking a fresh chapter in life, a naming ceremony is a chance to celebrate who someone truly is.
There’s no “right” way to do it either. Your ceremony can be emotional, joyful, relaxed, funny, meaningful or a little bit of everything.
My role is to help shape a ceremony that feels personal, genuine, and full of heart, one that leaves you all with memories to hold onto for years to come.
